Equans Italy is one of the leading national players in building systems for Buildings, Data Centers and Infrastructure. From design to maintenance, it delivers reliable and end-to-end solutions, managing complex projects with a performance- and sustainability-driven approach.
Our History
The history of Equans Italy began in the 1970s in Milan as Sesti Impianti, which later grew through the acquisition of Antonini in Verona. It subsequently became part of the Alpiq Group and, from 2018, joined the Bouygues Group, operating in Italy as Bouygues Energies & Services. In 2022, with the aim of creating a new global leader in multi-technical services, the Bouygues Group acquired 100% of Equans, an international organization with nearly 90,000 employees, specialized in energy and services and with a strong geographic footprint.
The Bouygues Energies & Services brand within the energy and services business segment was therefore integrated into the Equans brand, creating an international leader in energy & services.
A journey that started long ago but has always been defined by solidity and outstanding technical expertise.
The Bouygues Group: strength supporting growth
Founded in 1952 by Francis Bouygues, it is an international group active in construction and civil engineering, transport infrastructure, telecommunications, energy and services, property development and media. Since 1960, it has been listed on the Paris Stock Exchange. In 2022, it acquired Equans, an international leader in energy and services: from that moment, the Group’s “energy & services” business segment has been named Equans.
